Bob started his career with Metropolitan (MET) life on Dec 13 1976, and worked with MET for 15 years both as an insurance advisor and a branch manager. He spent 1 1/2 years in a large general insurance agency building the life insurance and estate planning dept. He then started a company called Page and White Financial services working in all aspects of insurance and financial planning.
In May 1997, Manulife Financial convinced him to be their advanced marketing manager in the BC interior, assisting other advisors on more advanced insurance, estate, and retirement planning cases. When Manulife made some significant corporate structure changes in Nov 2001, Bob resumed a full-time role of financial consulting, forming Group One Wealth Strategists, an association of 5 advisors. In October 2004, Bob and Pat formed Group One Planning Solutions Ltd., a company focused on providing the best possible advice and financial solutions for their clients, their families, and their businesses. His goal is to build a financial planning company with highly skilled advisors who have specialized areas of practice.
Bob is a three-time past president of LUAC (now Advocis Canada) and has chaired numerous positions over the years with the association such as education, ethics, programs, Executive committee member of the National Advocis school in Kelowna. A Rotarian of 11 years serving the community both locally and internationally.
In 1997, Bob obtained his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation, which today can only be achieved after obtaining a CFP designation. Bob is a member of the Kelowna Estate Planning Society, comprised of accountants, lawyer, trusts, and portfolio managers. Bob currently practices in all aspects of financial income, insurance, and retirement. Today Bob spends more time with income tax and Estate Planning.
